Farmingville, NY –The Town of Brookhaven, and JVC Broadcasting would like to say “thank you Long Island” for a great summer season at the Pennysaver Amphitheater, by presenting the largest free concert and World Class Grucci fireworks spectacular on Long Island on Labor Day weekend, Saturday August 30th at the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville.
The event will feature performances by “Captain Jack” and “UnCovered” and a pyrotechnics display presented by Fireworks by Grucci. Gates open at 6pm, the concert starts at 7:30 pm and the fireworks start at 9:30pm.
“Captain Jack is one of the nation’s top Billy Joel tribute bands and UnCovered is a regional main stream classic hits band that has a huge local following. The show is packed with hit after chart-topping hit in a high energy, interactive stage performance featuring the music of Billy Joel and other classic hit bands.
This Free event sponsored by The Town of Brookhaven, and JVC Broadcasting will be the largest free fireworks show and the only event of its type on Labor Day weekend. Fireworks events at Bald Hill have attracted over 15,000 Long Island families to the Amphitheater and surrounding area. The synchronized music selection for the THANK YOU Bash will be simulcast on LI News Radio 103.9 FM.
Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and JVC CEO John Caracciolo are proud to keep this Long Island celebration alive. “Thanks to the generous contribution from the folks at JVC we are able to present this world class show free, and make this night of family entertainment available to all Long Islanders”, said Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine.
Fireworks by Grucci is based in Brookhaven Town and produces over 300 performances annually all around the world. They have an international reputation of expertise in producing state-of-the-art firework programs and they were the first American firm to win the Gold Medal at the Monte Carlo International Fireworks Competition.
JVC Broadcasting is the largest independently owned radio group on Long Island with four FM stations, including LI News Radio 103.9, Top 40 Dance, Party 105, My Country 96.1, and LaFiesta 98.5.
Long Island Events is the operator of the Pennysaver Amphitheater formerly known as the Brookhaven Amphitheater. Long Island Events has committed to maintain free family events at the Pennysaver Amphitheater for years to come. John Caracciolo, President of Long Island Events said, “Thanks to our partners like The Town of Brookhaven, Pepsi, Island Federal Credit Union, and The Pennysaver publication, we were able to produce and present this free family event for all to enjoy”.
The concert starts at 7:30 pm and fireworks start at 9:30 pm. Permanent seating and lawn seating is available. No food or beverages are permitted at the Amphitheater, a full concession is available as well as wine tasting area. The Pennysaver Amphitheater is located at 1 Ski Run Lane in Farmingville.
