Qatar National Day

December 18, 2013 - Qatar National Day (also known as Founder's Day) is a national commemoration of Qatar's unification in 1878. It is celebrated on the 18th of December every year. The holiday was established by a June 21, 2007 decree of the then Crown Prince and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Activites usually include Heritage-themed events, parades, classic car shows and of course FIREWORKS!
