Expansion to Increase Technological Capacity as International Pyrotechnic Demand Heats Up
BELLPORT, NY (October 25, 2013)-As international demand for state-of-the-art entertainment and military pyrotechnics continues to increase, Fireworks by Grucci announces the acquisition of a 110-acre Research and Development facility in Delanson, NY USA. Fireworks by Grucci's President and CEO, Phil Grucci believes this will fit their overall business model with the primary function of Delanson to be the theoretical base. The expansion within the company will bring numerous jobs to the area. In fact, the activities performed at this facility have already showed immediate improvements in the Grucci firework operations. To date, the Delanson facility has produced a number of new firework designs which have been developed, tested and studied for efficiency, effectiveness and overall entertainment value. "Grucci strives to create technologically advanced fireworks and pyrotechnics but always with the aim of hearing the audience applause after the show, that is the real value," says Phil Grucci.
The facility is a pre-existing explosives manufacturing and storage facility, previously owned by longtime Grucci family friend and owner Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics. "The Delanson plant will be our primary Research and Development facility for our newest innovations to service both the entertainment and military explosive demands in addition to expanding our storage and distribution reach," says Phil Grucci. "Pyrotechnics is really a mixture of science and art. This theory keeps Grucci on the cutting-edge as the demand for increasingly sophisticated results comes from our clients."
Mr. Robert Lapietro has joined the Grucci Team as Chief Chemist and Research and Development Manager of the Delanson facility. Mr. Lapietro has over 30 years of experience in the Fireworks and Explosives Industry. Throughout his career he has specialized in engineering and designing fireworks and pyrotechnic products including; indoor and proximate pyrotechnics, display class entertainment fireworks, and military pyrotechnic projects. He has received numerous accolades for designing cutting edge professional class firework products that reduce the impact to the environment. Operations at the R&D Production Facility, Delanson will support manufacturing operations at the Grucci's manufacturing firm Pyrotechnique by Grucci, Inc. located at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, Virginia. The Virginia manufacturing plant has over 165 employees trained in the manufacturing, loading, assembly and packing of military, commercial explosives and pyrotechnics.
